Our journey to Thangachimadam started in an unique way. In the past, we have heard a lot about migrants and refugees in and around Rameswaram, especially in Mandabam. Our curiosity had no limits and we proceeded towards the east coast around Pamban Islands. Also, as our Congregation, the Sisters of the Sacred Heart of Jesus,having the motto of, service to the abandoned, intended to start new missions in the islands of Pamban, as part of our exploration and search for finding new challenging missions in most needed places. Thus we came to Rameswaram.
