Captivated by the Charism and Mission of the Sisters of the Cross of Chavanod, Sr. Anne Perpet Sophy, became a member of the congregation in 1991, Born in 1962, She began her school education in St. Joseph’s Higher Secondary School, Nagercoil and after completing it, She Stepped into the portals of Holy Cross College, Nagercoil, to do her B.A Degree Course in Economics (1979 – 1982), pursued her Post Graduate Course in Economics (1982 – 1984) in Scott Christian College, Nagercoil, followed by M.Phil Course (1984 – 1985) in Department of Economics Madurai Kamaraj University.

She began her teaching career in the Department of Economics, Holy Cross College, Nagercoil in 1985. She availed FDP to do her Research work and was awarded Ph.D degree in 2006. Her area of Specialization is Industrial Economics. She has availed a UGC Minor Project, organized Seminars and workshops, presented Research Papers in reputed Journals, published articles in Books and seminar proceedings. Gifted with 30 years of Teaching experience, she has shouldered different responsibilities such as,

*Head of the Department – 7 Years

*Vice Principal – 5 Years

*Controller of Examinations – 5 Years ( 1994-1999)

*Secretary of the College – 1 Year ( 2015-2016)

*Principal of Holy Cross College (Autonomous) Nagercoil – 3 Years ( 2019 – 2022 )

*Nodal Director of Child Line – 3 Years ( 2019 – 2022)

She had served as Chairperson of the Statuary Bodies under Autonomous structure, various Clubs and Committees and also been member of the Interview Board and Executive Committee of other Institutes

She has a passion for Teaching and reaches out to the marginalized, downtrodden, special Children and mentally Challenged through her service.
